How do I clean the iron soleplate if it is dirty or marked?

If the soleplate is dirty or marked, clean it with the Laurastar cleaning mat (it can be purchased on by clicking here and in selected Laurastar partner stores).
Stubborn marks can be cleaned using an abrasive sponge. Then get rid of the aluminium oxide under the soleplate by cleaning it with a damp cloth.
